Pet parents are a unique bunch. And dog owners beat cat owners in one national poll. According to a YouGov survey, 46% of dog owners say that their dog is their best friend. Cat owners come in at 27%. Maybe this is because cats are view their pet parents more like employees. As a dog LOVER, I realized a long time ago that dog spelled backwards is God. You can’t do that with cat

Our pets can provide unconditional love, become great housemates and we know, become our best friends. But they can also help with and improve our mental health.

Our Labradoodle Coco is the smartest and best dog we have ever had in our family. She knows how to open doors with one swipe of the handle. She guards the house, offers companionship and did I say she is the best ever. She has graduated from two separate dog training courses at the local pet supply store. She got to wear the graduation hat and got the certificate but is still challenged when it comes to barking at other dogs. Oh well, it was not as expensive as college.

The big bonus, Coco kisses me on my face often which I am convinced gives me immunity from many variants of the creeping crud. I have many friends in life. My wife Susan has been with me 45-years. But Susan knows Coco ranks way up there. And I know that my wife feels the same way about our dog. It is awesome to share in the fact that we have hit the jackpot with Coco!
